First Serve's mission is to strengthen the lives and enhance the character of underserved youth by providing education, scholarships, physical fitness, and community service through tennis. Their summer camp, after school program, and outreach programs introduced over 800 youth in OKC to tennis.
Summer camp includes tennis, life skills training, and tutoring for students enrolled in the OKC public schools grades 1 to 12. All camp activities are at the OKC Tennis Center (tennis and life skills program) and the Garden Center (tutoring/lunch). Volunteers have the option of working on the tennis court or in the classroom. The camp dates are June 1 to July 31. Tennis experience required.
Tennis coaches report to the OKC Tennis Center and work from 7:15 am to 10:30 am. Tutors will work at the Will Rogers Garden Center from 10 am to 1 pm.
