"Christmas Connection" serves families in our community in need in December and through other programs like the annual School Uniform Days. They will need the following volunteers on August 8,10,11,13,15,17,24 and 31st as well as September 12, 14, 21 and 28th. They need 10-12 volunteers per day. Please contact Donna Robison at drobison@christmasconnection.org or call her at (405) 634-2006 ext. 102 to sign up to help.
- Shopper assistants: You will help families find shoes, gently used clothing, and books for each child in the family.
- New uniform assistants: You will coordinate the client clip boards at the front table to be used during shopping. You are responsible for getting the sizes of each child from the parent and writing them on the clipboard. You then call sizes out to the pullers.
- Size pullers: You pull new pants or tops from the racks and hand them to the table volunteers. They set them on the table with the clipboard. The clipboard has all of the client information, with every childn's name and sizes.
- Record keepers: You will keep track of the number of pieces each child chooses and write it on the receipt. Each child has to try everything on so you can also help in gauging the fit. (The rule is Ms. Donna has to see you in the uniform before you can take it home) This is the last stop so you are the last people the client interacts with and you are the volunteer that the client sees and talks to the most.
